SmartAir IR – For faster heat-up and drying times
Dedicated infra-red unit designed to fit on the SmartAir hood stand for fast curing of painted areas. The IR control system is specifically designed for use on repaired areas having ramp-up time and panel temperature settings.
Smartair IR is a short wave infrared unit developed by Junair to complement the Smartair at-source extraction system. Equipped with Smartair and this innovative IR unit, your Bodyshop or Smart Repair business can benefit from the rapid painting and drying of most paint types. No spraybooth required.
Smartair IR features a unique pivot housing that allows the IR to swing into the perfect position in the centre of the painted area without the need for distance sensors. The pyrometer controls the temperature rise and ceiling thus reducing the risk of overheating.

- Shapeable head allowing curing of contoured surfaces

- Ruby sleeve reduces glare and provides protection against thermal shock

Faster – Infrared curing is faster than convection heating, it focuses energy where it is needed. Short wave systems produce high temperatures that dramatically accelerate the curing/drying process. Typically, short wave infrared curing times are half that of medium wave.
Better Quality – Short wave infra red radiation produces higher temperatures and penetrates deeper into an object, giving better quality curing. The Smartair IR unit is also equipped with a noncontact temperature controller, which protects the paint from overheating.
Energy Efficient – Infrared is much more energy efficient than convection, reducing heating bills by up to 90%.
